Next week will feature three WGA-hosted webinars in connection with the Reimagining the Rural West Initiative of Gov. Doug Burgum. Learn more below about each and register.
COVID-19 Economic Impacts and Mitigation in Rural Communities
Time and date: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MT on Monday, April 13
The webinar: Panelists will share information about federal resources available to rural communities to mitigate the economic impacts of COVID-19. They’ll also explore how agencies are working with partners and stakeholders to alleviate impacts on rural residents, protect local businesses and help rural economies rebound from this crisis
 
Community Anchor Institution Connectivity 
Time and Date: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MT on Wednesday, April 15
The webinar: The conversation will highlight federal programs that direct broadband investments to schools, libraries, hospitals, and community centers. The panel also will explore strategies to leverage anchor institutions and federal programs to drive broadband investment in rural and low-income areas. Additionally, panelists will discuss how anchor institutions have been serving students and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reimagining Disability Employment Policy in the Rural West

Time and date: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MT on Thursday April 16
The webinar: This July marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the landmark piece of legislation designed to ensure a more inclusive America. Panelists will share examples of disability employment best practices and policy options, and highlight how the State Exchange on Employment & Disability is working with state leaders to provide direct policy assistance, resources, and expertise on disability employment-related issues.
