New Montana mayors learn the ropes

New mayors are getting a crash course in city government at Montana State University.
MSU’s Local Government Center is hosting about 60 mayors — some first-timers, some not — from around the state at its second "Mayors Academy" workshop.
"The point is to give training to newly-elected mayors who don’t necessarily know what their job is when they get elected," center Director Jane Jelinksi, who is also a former Gallatin County commissioner, said.
