Applications Process for the Next Cohort of the Training Program for Emerging Leaders are Due January 19, 2024

The NADO Research Foundation is pleased to announce the application process for the 2024 Training Program for Emerging Leaders (TPEL) Cohort. The program is designed specifically for staff from EDA-designated Economic Development Districts (EDDs) located in the five state Austin Region (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas). Applications are due January 19, 2024. Information about the program and the application can be found on NADO’s website.

The EDA Austin Regional Office provides support for the program which is designed to offer EDD planners, project coordinators, recently hired Executive Directors, and other EDD staff opportunities to enhance their skills to develop and manage successful economic development projects as well as potentially become future executive directors of EDDs. Cohort participants are offered a unique opportunity to learn about successful community and economic development approaches of other EDDs in the five-state region through on-site workshops and web-based training. Additionally, the program is building a vibrant peer network across the Austin Regional Office footprint that can add value to EDD activities long after the training program is finished.
