BOZEMAN – Montana State University’s Extended University offers several Microsoft Office courses this fall. The non-credit courses are designed to help working professionals improve their skills, and all include hands-on work in Extended University’s computer laboratory-equipped classroom.
Excel Level 1 begins Oct. 3 and includes nine hours of interactive training from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 3, 4 and 8. The course costs $98 and is taught by Julie Heard. The course includes an introduction to spreadsheet terminology, as well as how to navigate worksheets and workbooks, enter and edit text, values, and use formulas and simple functions
Excel Level 2 is for more advanced Excel users. The course runs on Dec. 10, 11 and 13, and costs $98. Julie Heard is the instructor.

"21 Excel Tips and Tricks" is one of Extended University’s most popular courses. The three-hour class is held on Nov. 14 and covers Excel features that will be helpful for new users and might be surprising to even the most seasoned power user. The class is $59 and is taught by Connie Campbell.

Two sections of "Introduction to Quickbooks" are offered this semester. One is an afternoon schedule that runs on Oct. 2, 4, 9 and 11; the other is a morning schedule that runs Nov. 6, 8, 13 and 15. The cost for either course is $135, and the instructor is Christina Riffle. The course offers hands-on instruction in the Quickbooks Premier Accountant Edition. The course is jointly sponsored with the Downtown Bozeman Association and the Montana’s Women’s Business Center.

All courses offer a 25 percent discount for members of the Downtown Bozeman Association, Prospera Business Network, and Big Sky or Livingston Chambers of Commerce. View all courses and register online at http://eu.montana.edu/professional or call (406) 994-6683 during MSU business hours.
