MPG Ranch Education & Volunteer Opportunities

MPG Ranch

MPG Ranch is working to create better habitat for the wildlife and the plant life that thrive on these lands for future generations.

Woven into the very fabric of the Bitterroot Valley, the MPG Ranch (MPG) is a historic ranch that encompasses nearly 15,000 acres. A conservation property, MPG strives to promote conservation through restoration, research, education, and information sharing. MPG Ranch collaborates and works closely with local conservation groups and researchers to provide educational opportunities to students of all ages.

Located south of Missoula, Montana, and set up as a biological research station, MPG is a living laboratory with hopes to restore the landscape to be as native-species rich and bio-diverse as possible.

Volunteer Opportunities

Due to covid, MPG is taking precautions to keep staff and visitors safe. We are limiting group size and prefer visitors to drive their own vehicles to events.

All visitors to MPG need to sign waivers. They are good for the calendar year and then you’ll need to do it again. If you’re planning to attend an event and want to take care of that in advance, you can sign at this link: https://www.mpgranch.com/content/waivers
