More venture capital flows to Oregon

The latest venture capital tallies out today contain a pleasant surprise for Oregon – some previously unpublicized investments that made the first half of 2008 a robust one for the state’s startup community.

While not as strong as a banner VC haul during the first half of 2007, the $130 million that Oregon companies raised in the first part of the year is very healthy by the state’s historical standards. It comes despite a declining regional and national economy.
