Great Divide Ski Area’s Dark Forest run used to be just that — a dark, thick forest.

But the run doesn’t reflect its name anymore. It’s now wide open, with several trees still dotting the landscape. A few tree stumps can be seen poking up from beneath this year’s high February and March snowpack.
