Montanans share ideas to raise graduation rates

Montana has raised its high school graduation rate by almost 5 points to 85 percent in the last five years, and state educators met Thursday in Bozeman to celebrate that success and hear ideas for doing better.

At the Graduation Matters Montana Summer Summit, the keynote speaker urged principals, administrators and teachers to pay greater attention to children who are chronically absent, especially poor and minority students.
