Montana Tech

Montana Technological University is inviting the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Iron and Steelmaking Laboratory at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, on the Montana Tech campus.

University officials say the new laboratory will support undergraduate and graduate instruction, applied research, workforce development and industry collaboration in metallurgical and materials engineering.

The facility was established with support from industry partners. Nucor funded major laboratory equipment, including furnace systems and testing tools, while Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. provided personal protective equipment.
