Montana State’s new research VP looks to build on campus success

Jason Carter never had the chance to do scientific research as a college undergraduate, but wishes he had. It’s something Montana State University is proud to offer its students.

“It’s opening doors to opportunities I wish I would’ve had as an undergraduate,” Carter said.

For four months, Carter, 42, has held one of MSU’s most important jobs as vice president for research, economic development and graduate education.
