MSU Academic Technology & Outreach

Montana State University’s $50K Venture Competition, hosted by the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship and the MSU Blackstone LaunchPad, will take place virtually April 7-8. The event is free and open to the public for viewing.

The competition with two tracks, social venture and traditional venture, is open to all MSU undergraduate and graduate students, MSU faculty and staff, and MSU alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years. Ventures that won first, second and third place prizes in previous MSU $50K Venture Competitions are not eligible to participate. In addition, ventures that have received venture capital or angel funding are not eligible to compete, but ventures that have received funding from MSU or the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs or similar grants are allowed to participate.
