Montana State University selected for membership in prestigious space research association

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

MSU was selected due to its status as a premier research university, with programs in solar-terrestrial physics and astrophysics and its space science research in extreme gravity phenomena, such as black holes, gravitational waves and the early universe, according to USRA. MSU’s eXtreme Gravity Institute was also noted for hosting regular workshops, summer and winter schools and long-term visiting researchers.
