Montana State University program to train Indian educators gets $1.2M grant

A Montana State University and Little Big Horn College program to train Native American educators has received a four-year, $1.2 million federal grant.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports the Department of Education grant will provide funding for 40 students in the Indian Leadership Education and Development program.

The program is designed to train Indian educators on reservations. It allows them to earn a master’s degree in school administration without having to leave their jobs.
