Montana State University Is planning for the future and we want your input!

Montana State University’s strategic planning efforts are off to an excellent start…and we want to hear from you.

We have held over 30 listening sessions and conducted a broad online survey. So far, around 2,400 members of our campus community have shared their perspectives. We’re learning a great deal, and this is just the beginning.

We are now setting our sights away from campus and reaching out to our many alumni and friends around the state and country.

As we build on this momentum, we are working to identify key strategic themes, goals, and actions that will guide MSU’s next chapter. While our mission, vision, and values will remain unchanged, your input is essential in helping us refine what we’ve heard, understand what resonates most, and identify what may still be missing.

We invite YOU to share your ideas and aspirations for MSU through a short 3-5 minute survey at the link below.

  • What should the university focus on?
  • What big goals should we pursue?
  • How can MSU have an even greater impact on our students, communities, and the state?

Additionally, you are welcome and encouraged to connect with us in person over the summer. Members of our strategic planning team will be at upcoming Bus Tour stops, various Gallatin Valley events, and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station Field Days across the state. Additional listening sessions are also being planned. These are great opportunities to share your perspective and help shape MSU’s future.

Please share your opinion.

Thank you for being an important part of the MSU community!
