Montana State Auditor James Brown issued an advisory moratorium calling on insurance companies not to cancel policies or refuse renewal for homeowners with perceived wildfire risk unless it’s justified.

Brown says he made the announcement after his office received complaints relating to the Jericho Mountain Fire.
