According to WalletHub, Montana ranks as the 16th most expensive state for childcare for married couples. Single-parent families rank better, coming in at 34. The rankings also include Washington D.C.
The rankings are based on the percentage of “median family income”. They also looked at “family-based child care” compared to “center-based child care”.
