Montana Public Library Patrons Have Access to Free Online Classes through Universal Class

Through a shared consortium collection called MontanaLibrary2Go, Montana public library patrons now have free access to Universal Class, a curated collection of online, self-paced course on a variety of topics. Montanans can register for Universal Class through their local public library, and find 600+ course on topics ranging from accounting, business, career training, digital literacy, finance, entrepreneurship, and more. MontanaLibrary2Go has access to Universal Class until the end of December 2023, and you can take as many courses as you like during that time. Gaining access to Universal Class is easy and free! Please follow the steps below:
  • Check that your local public library is a member of the MontanaLibrary2Go Consortium
  • Make sure that you have a library card!
  • Go to Libby – you can access Libby through a downloadable mobile app on your phone, or through a computer web browser at libbyapp.com
  • Select your library from the drop down, and enter in your library card information.
  • Find “Universal Class” under the “Extras” section of the Libby app. If you are having trouble finding it, please refer to this guide
