Montana one of worst states for afterschool programs
October 30, 2014 /
The decibel level ratcheted up in a Meadowlark School classroom when the kidsLINK afterschool staff handed out flashlights to 50 excited kids.
"We keep the lights on after school!" the children shouted as they turned on their flashlights.
Greater Gallatin United Way started kidsLINK 17 years ago to help families, especially working families whose children would otherwise go home to empty houses.
