Montana Governor Greg Gianforte looking to expand photonics cooperation with Taiwan

Taiwan will be a “key partner” for Montana as it seeks to build up its photonics industry, visiting governor of the northwestern U.S. state Greg Gianforte told President Tsai Ing-wen （蔡英文） during a meeting on Tuesday.

Montana has one of the highest concentrations per capita of optics, photonics and quantum computing companies in the U.S., Gianforte said at the meeting at the Presidential Office in Taipei.
