The Montana CINE International Film Festival http://www.wildlifefilms.org/festivals/mtcine/index.html features films on a broad range of topics relating to our environment, our cultures and our planet.

Our mission is to feature films that create a dialogue on current and critical issues ranging from hunting to land use, agriculture to food, ranching, mining, recreation, social, cultural and political topics. Films entered may be features or documentaries. They may be from any production year. The Montana CINE International Film Festival completes a global picture of why and how we live in our world and interact with our environment.

CINE hitting stride at the right time

Seven years ago, the International Wildlife Media Center embarked on an experiment of sorts: a new film festival, separate from its well-established International Wildlife Film Festival, this one focused on the intersection between humans and the natural world.

Producing a separate film festival proved plenty of work, as staffers at the small Missoula-based nonprofit labored to find films that fit the fest. This year, that work was compounded by ill-timed staffing changes over the summer. But something fortunate happened at just the right time: CINE hit its stride.
