MMEC is thrilled to welcome Claude Smith back to our staff! He rejoins MMEC as our statewide Food and Process Specialist.

Claude has decades of industry experience with major national food manufacturers like Pillsbury and Green Giant. He helped pioneer the use of UV light for sanitizing vegetable canning and freezing process water, and automated product grading systems. A long-time HACCP planner and trainer, he also served as a USDA consultant on canned vegetable quality and food safety standards.
