Missoula’s Blue Marble Biomaterials rethinks petroleum-driven products

When Blue Marble Biomaterials http://bluemarblebio.com/ moved its biochemical manufacturing facility to Missoula recently, it brought along a set of "green jobs."

Two of those jobs went to Ryan Parks and Adrienne Bull, young western Montana residents who plan to stick around the area to work and take advantage of Blue Marble’s potential to grow.

Parks – who is working on an energy technology degree from the University of Montana College of Technology – has spent the past week putting together a reverse osmosis system that extracts water from the biomaterials manufactured there.

Bull explained she is collaborating with Parks on that project and doing "all kinds of strange, interesting and fun things" each day.
