After a successful Virtual Charrette week, we continue to gather ideas
Thanks for participating in the Mullan Neighborhoods Virtual Charrette. By every measure it was a triumph of public participation. The project isn’t over, but we’re off to a good start. The Mullan Neighborhoods Virtual Charrette had a total public involvement (so far) which included:
1) 280+ Virtual studio visitors & meeting attendees
2) 2,400+ views of the YouTube films
3) 900+ digital communications, survey participants, interactive tools, social media likes & followers
The Missoula Neighborhoods Virtual Charrette was featured in a Webinar hosted by Smart Growth America, The National Charrette Institute, and the Form Based Codes Institute which described the project and offered a retrospective on the Virtual Charrette’s success.
Called “the first full virtual charrette” by Bill Lennertz, author of “The Charrette Handbook” (2015), the Mullan Neighborhoods Virtual Charrette made international news in the Planning world and 1,000 people from nearly every continent registered to watch the Webinar. The Webinar features Tom Zavitz, Senior Planner for the City of Missoula Development Services; Jason King, Principal of Dover, Kohl & Partners; and Victor Dover, Founding Partner of DK&P.
