On Earth Day, the Montana Department of Transportation opens a gate along Reserve Street, allowing the Missoula community to access the Clark Fork Watershed under the Reserve Street Bridge. This annual event focuses on cleaning the area and highlights the progress made in the ecosystem.

Kevin Davis, host of the Reserve Street Public Working Group, shared his thoughts on the importance of this event. “As challenging as Reserve Street can be… For a lot of people, it’s also a vital part of our transportation system and so we can neglect it, or we can focus on it and make it better for everyone,” he said.
