MEDA Announces EDA And USDA Outreach Meetings: New Info On Assistance To Communities, 7/26, 8/25
DEAR MEDA MEMBERS AND PARTNERS:
The Montana Economic Developers Association (MEDA) would like to announce two economic development outreach meetings featuring the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Both agencies will present new information about assistance for communities. In addition to regular programs, information will be presented regarding disaster assistance for communities and new national initiatives. Community officials and economic development professional are urged to attend.
The first meeting, hosted by the North Central Montana Economic Development District, will be held in the Prairie Room of the Great Falls Airport, beginning at 8:00 am on Tuesday, July26, 2011. The meeting will feature presentations from EDA’s Denver Regional Office staff as well as staff of the State Office of USDA/Rural Development. The meeting will feature presentations on application processes, environmental issues, and program criteria, among others. The meeting is expected to continue through 5:00 pm.
A similar outreach meeting is tentatively scheduled for the Billings area on August 25th. Economic development practitioners and community officials are urged to mark their calendars for these important meetings.
