Leaders discuss hydrogen’s role in Montana’s economic future

Leaders in energy, workforce development and higher education gathered in Missoula on Tuesday to discuss how hydrogen production in Montana can drive economic growth, cut carbon emissions and secure long-term energy independence.

Officials described renewable hydrogen as a foundation for sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel and renewable propane, transitional fuels that can power everything from jets and buses to farm equipment and locomotives. They also highlighted Missoula’s role as a hub for new infrastructure investment, projected to create good-paying union jobs across the community.
