Joel Jewett, Founder of Guitar Hero III developer credits Great Falls for successes

Joel Jewett spent his teen years in the 1970s in Great Falls wearing out his skateboard wheels and listening to rock ‘n’ roll.

Now he helps millions of people indulge their rock-star fantasies or step into the shoes of the world’s most famous skateboarder as co-founder and president of the video game development company responsible for the latest "Guitar Hero" games and the entire "Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater" franchise.

Jewett’s Woodland Hills, Calif.-based Neversoft Entertainment http://www.neversoft.com/ has made billions of dollars in the gaming industry and changed the way video games are played around the world. Jewett is quick to attribute all of his success to the ingenuity he picked up while growing up in Great Falls.

Jewett said he wants to spend more time in Montana with his family and learn about agriculture, horses and the wilderness.

"All of the good fortune I have is because I was born and raised in Great Falls," he said.
