Jackson Hole, Wyoming mulls ways to preserve Western character

Consultants presented to elected officials their plans for protecting Jackson Hole’s heritage Wednesday, laying out incentives that could motivate property owners to save historic structures and offering ways to ensure future development meshes with the community’s Western character.

The consultants, Boulder-based Winter and Company, walked the Town Council through a report they developed based on feedback from Teton County residents earlier this year. The 170-page document is split into two parts: The first explores historic preservation mechanisms, and the second is a stylistic philosophy to guide future development and zoning.
