Stories this month include:

Bruce Babbitt will be the 2004 Environmental and Subsurface Science Symposium keynote speaker. The Symposium is organized by INRA and the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). The meeting will be held at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, WA on 20 – 22 September 2004.

An agreement between the U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in California, is expected to provide answers to some of the most critical issues facing those who study the ground below us.

A recently completed three-year study at Boise State University has successfully advanced the understanding of the applications of ground-penetrating radar, research that one day could lead to savings in environmental clean-up.
