Input Requested for Montana Red Tape Review Project

Montana Department of Transportation

To our valued transportation stakeholders:

Excessive government regulation can impose high compliance costs, inhibit job growth, delay or deter expansion of existing businesses, impede private sector investment, and increase prices paid by consumers for goods and services. In the best interest of Montana citizens and businesses to reduce regulatory burdens while protecting public health and safety, our Honorable Governor Gianforte initiated review of regulations in every state agency through the Red Tape Relief Project.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is supporting this effort to identify and implement efficiencies that will benefit the diverse traveling public we serve. As a valued stakeholder in Montana’s transportation systems, your input and ideas are critical in helping us identify current inefficiencies and opportunities for MDT to improve how we work.

Today, I’m reaching out to request your help with this important process. MDT has developed a short survey as an easy way for you to share your input and ideas. It should only take a few minutes of your time to complete. Please note that all survey responses collected during this effort are anonymous unless you choose to provide contact information for us to follow up with you.

You can quickly access the survey here, or by visiting the project website. If you’d prefer to submit your input and ideas via email, you can do so using the comment form process located on the same web page. To best serve you and support the Governor’s request, we ask that you please provide input by close of business (COB) Friday, November 12, 2021.

Thank you in advance for your time and response to this request. On behalf of MDT, I look forward to your valuable input and the opportunity to continue our work to keep Montana moving forward efficiently, economically, and safely.

Serving you with pride.
