The new rules affect both itemizers and non-itemizers, but differently. Depending on which you are, financial experts have different advice for how to handle charitable contributions this year and next.

Itemizers should hit fast forward and give their gifts this year, but non-itemizers may want to pause until 2026 to maximize deductions, experts said.
