How to make a late-stage career pivot

| The age of lifetime employment at one company has long been over—research shows that the average person will have had over 12 jobs over the course of their lifetime and likely this may involve a career pivot. But pivoting careers can be a daunting prospect, especially if you’re well established in your field.
“That expertise has helped you navigate many situations and often gave you some insight or wisdom that people newer to the workplace didn’t have. As a result, it can be difficult to be in a situation in which you’re no longer the trusted expert,” writes Fast Company contributor Art Markman. “Let that go.”
