Numbers don’t lie and they’ve been repeating the same story for several years now: there is a serious problem looming over the manufacturing industry. We’ve been hearing that in the next decade, there is expected to be a shortage of more than 2 million U.S. manufacturing jobs causing enormous ramifications to both the manufacturing companies and the U.S. economy. As one of the few female executives leading a manufacturing company, I think about this problem on a regular basis and have been focusing on one of the obvious solutions – women.
