How Bozeman should be built: City drafting new growth policy

The city of Bozeman has more than doubled in size in the last 30 years to fit more land and buildings. With the expectation Bozeman’s growth isn’t stopping, the city is outlining what it wants future development to look like.

Bozeman’s draft growth policy so far paints a picture of the outskirts of town one day hosting tightly built neighborhoods with houses close to small shops and shared places to play. It also shows patches reserved for open space and public institutions.
