Gut-brain link? MSU scientists seek life-saving clues with $2.9 million grant

If you’ve ever had a gut feeling that something was wrong, well, you might be on to something.
Scientists around the world are trying to unravel the mysterious connections between our gut and our brain.
They’re working to figure out whether the cause of diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or Lou Gehrig’s disease could be linked to what’s going on in metabolism or the forest of microbes in the human gut.
