Great Falls Development Authority Top 22 for 9/28/14

Here’s the GFDA Top 22 for this week, celebrating great things happening to move Great Falls Forward!

1) The Montana Public Service Commission gave final approval to NorthWestern Energy’s purchase of PPL’s Montana hydroelectric dams, including the five dams in Cascade County.

2) A prospect we’ve been working with selected a national developer to conduct final feasibility work on its potential build-to-suit project in Great Falls.

3) First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park’s efforts to become a National Historic Landmark took a step forward with the Montana State Historic Preservation Review Board meeting on site. The Park’s nomination will be reviewed in DC in December.

4) The EPA approved another Targeted Brownfield Assessment of the historic downtown Rocky Mountain Building which we requested to support redevelopment efforts.

5) The City’s Planning Advisory Board supported annexation of a 2.6 acre enclave in Northview for a proposed development of 12 townhouses.

6) The new Starbucks at 10th Avenue South and 32nd Street opened!
