Gov. Kristi Noem, in historic inauguration, looks to improve South Dakota’s future

Gov. Kristi Noem walked into the Capitol Rotunda to the fanfare of trumpets and drums.

The inauguration of the 47-year-old former Congresswoman on Saturday was a historic milestone for South Dakota.

“One hundred years and one day after this great state extended women the right to vote, they elected the first woman as governor,” Noem said during her inaugural address on Saturday.
