Gov. Brian Schweitzer trying to boost tax breaks for movie projects in Montana
December 24, 2006 /
Gov. Brian Schweitzer is trying to boost the package of tax incentives the state will offer to people who make movies in Montana.
At present, the state offers tax credits of 8 percent on purchases movie companies make in Montana and 12 percent of the first $50,000 in wages they pay Montana residents.

House Bill 40 would boost those credits to 10 percent of spending and 15 percent of wages.
