“We tell our boys to crawl to the top of the monkey bars and to just jump. And with our girls, we’re like, ‘Be careful honey. Don’t swing too high. Did you take the toy away from her? Give it back.’ So we are constantly teaching our girls to silence themselves and to put others’ feelings before theirs — to look perfect and to be perfect.”
