GFDA Top Ten for 12-8-24
The economy in the Great Falls Montana trade area grew by 7.45% from 2022 to 2023 topping $10 billion, according to county GDP data released by the U.S.Bureau of Economic Analysis. This beat the statewide growth of 6.63%. GDP grew in the 12-county region from $9.54 billion to $10.25 billion, growth of $710,998 million. I excluded the northern part of Lewis & Clark County which is part of our trade area because data is only available for the entire county. Cascade County grew by 6.31% or $317,516 million to reach a total GDP of $5.35 billion.
Personal income in the Great Falls MSA (Cascade County) increased by 5.2% from 2022 to 2023, an increase of $2,969/person, according to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. This was close to the national average of 5.4%.
