WHAT: Members of the media are invited to join the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce and partners at its August luncheon announcing the results of the recently commissioned study, "The Contribution of Health Care to Flathead Valley’s Economy," conducted by the University of Montana Bureau of Business and Economic Research. Additionally speaking will be Kalispell Regional Healthcare on the $64 million of new construction underway with the expansion of the Emergency Room and Gastrointestinal Center, plus the new Women’s and Children’s Pavilion. Immanuel Lutheran Communities will also speak about their $12 million facility expansion.
WHY: The health care sector is rapidly growing in the Flathead Valley and its impact on jobs and wages in contributing industries is significant.
WHO: Bryce Ward, Ph.D., associate director of UM’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research; Velinda Stevens, CEO of Kalispell Regional Healthcare; Federico G. Seifarth, MD, pediatric surgeon at Kalispell Regional Healthcare; and Jason Cronk, president of Immanuel Lutheran Communities.
