Do you have what it takes to start a small business?

The Idaho Statesman and the U.S. Small Business Administration are offering a free workshop to help you find out.

The workshop is the fifth offered by The Statesman as part of our ongoing Surviving on Shrinking Paychecks series.

Rodney Grzadzieleski, economic development specialist with the Boise District office of the SBA, will help workshop participants examine their strengths and weaknesses and learn how to avoid the mistakes that cause so many small businesses fail.

He’ll also offer those who attend a checklist of things you’ll need to know and do if your business is to succeed.

The free workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 1, at The Idaho Statesman, 1200 N. Curtis Road.

Space is limited, so preregister early by calling 377-6400 between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. weekdays before Nov. 30.
