Experience Life As A College Student On April 20 At FVCC – Kalispell, Montana
Flathead Valley Community College will host two events in April designed to help prepare high school students for the transition to college. On Thursday, April 19, high school juniors and their parents are invited to attend "Top 10 Action Items for Juniors," a one-hour presentation by staff from Reach Higher Montana.
The presentation will begin at 6 p.m. in the large community room of the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus and will include information about preparing to apply for college, federal financial aid, scholarships and more. There is no charge to attend the presentation, and it is open to all high school juniors, regardless of which college they plan to attend.
On Friday, April 20, FVCC invites high school students and anyone who is considering a career change to experience life as a college student. "Experience FVCC" will provide participants with a comprehensive view of FVCC’s academic programs, services, organizations and activities.
The day will begin with a tour of campus followed by a panel discussion with students and various faculty members who will explain their programs and what students can expect in their classes. Following a complimentary lunch, participants will get the chance to learn about FVCC’s diversity of student organizations and activities. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Administrative staff will be available from 2 to 5 p.m. to answer questions regarding admissions, financial aid and other matters.
There is no charge to participate in "Experience FVCC," however, pre-registration is requested at http://www.fvcc.edu/experience-fvcc.
