Eschelon will pay approximately $9.5 million in cash for Billings, Mont.-based OneEighty Communications

Eschelon Telecom Inc. has signed an agreement to buy a Montana communications company.

Eschelon (Nasdaq: ESCH) said Wednesday that it will pay approximately $9.5 million in cash for Billings, Mont.-based OneEighty Communications, which primarily services Montana. The deal is expected to close by the end of the third quarter.
