Climber promotes peace via ‘brain power’ – Greg Mortenson of Bozeman and the Central Asia Institute

Climber Greg Mortenson http://matr.net/click.php?id=1383&url=https://www.ikat.org/ walked down from K2, the world’s second-highest mountain, defeated and tired in 1993 and stumbled into a Nobel Peace Prize-worthy career building schools in remote villages of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

More than 7.2 million children receive an education now in Afghanistan — as opposed to just 800,000 children attending schools there in 2000 — but more work still needs to be done, according to author and philanthropist Mortenson of Bozeman.
