City leaders continue efforts to bring more flights, lower airfare to Great Falls airport

Chris Leatham, the owner of Bighorn Outdoor Specialists, said his wife says it best when she says they can usually tell when a Chicago flight has landed because usually about 45 minutes later, they have four or five people show up in the store looking for the outdoor basics they can’t carry on a plane.

“We see people come in everywhere but we definitely kind of notice when the Chicago fight happens,” Leatham said. “Just a little bit of extra folks come in and you know, you can sometimes catch a Chicago accent or a Midwest accent going on too, but we just usually just talk to people like, ‘Oh, where are you from?’ ‘Oh we just got off the plane from Chicago.'”
