City Club Missoula – Taxes, sports, housing and pandemic dominate virtual “State of the Community”

City and county leaders on Monday doubled down on their decision to purchase the Sleepy Inn as a quarantine shelter and expressed optimism about the region’s chances for economic recovery in the wake of COVID-19.

In the first ever virtual City Club Missoula presentation, Missoula Mayor John Engen, county Commissioner Josh Slotnick and University of Montana President Seth Bodnar touched on taxes, collegiate sports and housing, and the inequities revealed by the pandemic.
