City Club Missoula Presents:

Health Care Reform, the Triple Aim,

and What it Means to You

featuring Dr. Mark Wakai, St. Patrick Hospital, and Dr. Jonathan Weisul, Community

Medical Center

Monday, January 14, 2013 – 11:30 – 1:00 p.m.

Holiday Inn Downtown at the Park, 200 S. Pattee St.

With 2013 underway, the topic of health care reform is expected to dominate the agenda of legislatures, city governments, businesses, health care providers and consumers.

Get a head start on learning about the latest and most forward thinking on optimizing health system performance while controlling costs when representatives of the two local hospitals speak at City Club Missoula’s Jan. 14 public forum.

Dr. Mark Wakai, president, Physicians Services and Business Development, Providence Health and Services in Missoula, and Dr. Jonathan Weisul, chief medical officer and vice president of innovation at Community Medical Center, will discuss "Health Care Reform, the Triple Aim, and What it Means to you."

The "Triple Aim" is a way of thinking about and implementing health care reform that improves the patient’s experience of quality care and his/her satisfaction with that experience, improves the health of populations and reduces the per capita cost of health care.

The approach was developed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), an independent not-for-profit organization that is recognized worldwide as a leading innovator in health and health care improvement. Wakai and Weisul will explain the Triple Aim approach and what St. Patrick Hospital and Community Medical Center are doing to implement it.
