Capitol creates interactive map to learn about Helena, Montana history

There’s a new way to learn more about Montana’s Capitol Complex District and you can find it online.

It’s the Capitol Campus Historic District Interactive Story Map http://montana.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapTour/index.html?appid=fe3bbfe06a354b82a735faae20ab60e5#

The map pinpoints historic buildings in the district, as well as other notable points of interest that you might not be aware of, including Capitol Park to the east of the Justice Building or the eagle statue outside the Fish and Game Building that was installed in 1976.

The story map’s creator – Cultural Records Manager Damon Murdo – says it’s a way for Montanans to learn more about these important pieces of state history.
