Providence Receives 7 Bids for Bresnan

Providence Equity Partners, the private equity firm that has reportedly put Bresnan Communications http://www.bresnan.com on the block, has received seven bids of more than $1 billion for the broadband provider, Reuters reported, citing a source familiar with the situation.

Among the bidders were Cablevision Systems, Suddenlink Communications and the media mogul, John C. Malone, according to the news service.
